The Poverty Relief Tissue consists of Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, Salvation Army Thrift Store, Friday Morning Breakfast, and World Hunger Relief Farm.

At Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, we get to serve meals to the people in Waco who are in need! You will have the opportunity to build relationships with the people of the waco community!

Volunteering times:

  • Fri @ 4:45 - 6:30 pm

  • Every other Sun @ 7:45 - 9:00 am

Salvation Army Thrift Store

The Salvation Army Thrift Store exists to provide reduced price, high-quality donations to members of the community. Volunteering at the thrift store would include sorting and organizing donations, interacting with customers, and different tasks throughout the retail location! This is the perfect cell for those who want a leisurely paced activity that has an immediate impact on the community!

Volunteering times:

  • Monday-Saturday from 9am-5pm, carpooling will be provided

Friday morning breakfast

The goal of Friday Morning breakfast is to serve and form meaningful relationships with the homeless and impoverished of Waco.

Volunteering times:

  • Fridays @ 6:00 - 7:30 am

World Hunger Relief Farm

The World Hunger Relief Farm is an organization committed to the alleviation of food insecurity and malnutrition through sustainable agriculture and community development. Volunteering at the farm would include working in the garden and tending to the livestock. If you like to get your hands dirty while knowing you are doing good, this is the cell for you! 

Volunteering times:

  • Monday & Fridays from 3 to 5 pm
